There are a couple of options .We recommend Cloud slime or Clay slime because you can play with it better with warm or small hands,  and both are a firmer slime and can be handled easier.

Activator is a mild solution of borax and water which remedies sticky slime. Adding activator to sticky slime will make it less sticky and more manageable. However adding too much activator can ruin your slime and make it hard.

This can happen to slime when you play with it a lot because some of the moisture can rub off on your hands over time.

It can also happen when you play with slime when it is still too sticky to handle and little blobs get stuck on your hands and thrown away. You can always add some foam beads to puff up the slime to its original size.

Adding activator to your sticky slime will make it less sticky and more manageable. Add a few drops at a time till you get the desired texture that you want.

Slime should last for a long time as long as it is taken care of properly. Always keep it in an air tight container and a cool environment. Make sure to wash your hands before and after you play with your slime so that it does not get dirty and produce bacteria.

Borax can be purchased at Dischem or Clicks

Put 5ml of borax into a container and mix with 250ml of warm water. Allow to cool down and pour into a plastic squeeze bottle.
